As someone who’s ‘other’ work, apart from being a writer, has included communications and marketing, I’ve been exposed to some let’s say ‘interesting’ ideas about creativity.

What I would say is that first drafts are always messy, that’s kind of the point of them. But divergent thinking - and convergent thinking - can help make that process of finding what directions to go in. And that makes it an exciting time, even though it also feels daunting. I’m going to use this concept to help me make sense of the mangled disjointed mess of my first ever draft. Just the nudge I needed to move forward :)
